Our Story
The Men’s Room was born from the belief that talking saves lives. It began with Men Don’t Talk?, an award-winning short film that captured real, raw conversations about men’s mental health and the struggles they often face in silence. The overwhelming response to the film made one thing clear: men do want to talk—they just need the right space to do it.

Our Projects
Through live performances, community events, and shared storytelling, we create opportunities for men to open up, support one another, and challenge outdated stigmas. Key initiatives include:

Men Don't Talk...?
A thought-provoking film that has inspired discussions across communities.

The Monologues of Men.
A live performance giving men a stage to share their personal journeys.

The Baton of Hope Collaboration
A nationwide movement coming to Hastings in September 2025, dedicated to suicide prevention and awareness.

Talk Groups & Peer Support
Spaces where men can reach out, talk and be heard. A safe space where techniques to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional well-being can also be discussed.
Work with us!
We’ve worked with many local initiatives and teams – together we can keep the conversation going!

Why It Matters
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK. Many struggle in silence, feeling like they have no one to turn to. The Men’s Room is here to change that narrative. By sharing stories, raising awareness, and fostering real conversations, we aim to create a culture where vulnerability is seen as strength, and where no man feels alone in his struggles.
